Hierarchy of Awards
(Qualifications)

This informative session provides an overview of Missional University's Hierarchy of Awards (HOA). The HOA is a structured progression of academic qualifications, beginning with pre-degree levels, through progressively more advanced qualification levels culminating in doctoral degrees. The hierarchy is supported by frameworks like the Missional Competency Framework (MCF) and School-specific competency frameworks such as the Missional Practice Competency Framework. 

Each level in the hierarchy leads to the next level with a seamless progression from one to the next. Students can step into the appropriate level based on their past educational achievements.

Academic Pathways for Integrated Learning

The first section in the second session explains how module courses are stackable enabling students to use completed credits in further programs. Credits earned in the completion of one program can be applied toward completion of a related certificate or degree program. It is a building block that gives you a jump start to education and career success.

The second section discusses MOSAIC learning that integrates interdisciplinary courses. This MOSAIC approach follows the missio Dei: a participatory, relational, integrative mission.  By weaving theological depth with practical breadth, it forms disciples who don’t just know about God’s work but know how to join it redemptively.
